A careful and timely fish management programme combining ‘catch & keep’ and ‘catch & release’ supported by a rich natural ecosystem and environmental enhancement will sustain a larger fish population and result in unequalled numbers, size and quality.

Fish Management Policy

The fish population consist of wild brown trout and stocked rainbow trout.
To ensure sustainability of our natural native stock, a strict ‘catch & release’ policy is in place for all brown trout.
A large initial stocking of assorted hard fighting rainbows from the 2 lb. range to ‘double figures’ takes place preseason, and is augmented by supplemental stockings of the same throughout the season.
The stocking policy, coupled with a non-regulating shared common sense understanding, appreciation and commitment by all members to maintain the highest degree of sportsmanship and standards of sustainable fishing and environment, allows us to feel it unnecessary to impose catch limits of rainbows for our members.
